The Boston Celtics won their third straight as they defeated the Detroit Pistons 98-80 Thursday night at TD Banknorth Garden.

Boston covered the 6.5-point spread, while the 178 points fell UNDER the posted total of 184.

Rajon Rondo shot 7-for-11 from the field with 18 points, and Kevin Garnett added 15 in the win.

Rasheed Wallace tossed in 13 points with six rebounds for the Pistons.
